How to explain your AI product in one sentence

Help a new visitor understand your value without having to translate the technology.

Internal language is useful for building a product. It is not always useful for introducing it. Your opening sentence should give a potential customer something clear enough to repeat to a colleague.

Start with the customer’s outcome

Name the person you help, the thing they want to achieve and the friction your product removes. Keep the technical explanation for the next conversation.

[Product] helps [customer] achieve [outcome], without [the familiar frustration].

Make the difference concrete

Instead of describing an “AI knowledge platform”, explain that your tool helps support teams answer questions without searching through scattered documents. This is an illustrative wording example, not a client case study.

Check whether it makes sense

  • Ask someone outside your company to explain it back to you.
  • Replace words your customer would not use.
  • Check whether the sentence could describe any competitor. If it could, make it more specific.

Use it consistently

Bring the same core explanation to your homepage, social profiles, pitch and ads. Adapt the format, while keeping the promise recognisable.
